Gamma Phi Beta International has announced that Heather Lockwood has been appointed Director of Sorority Growth and will join the organization in its international headquarters in Denver. Reporting to Laurie Veldhuizen, GPB’s Executive Director, Lockwood is responsible for directing the Sorority’s collegiate extension presentation and recruitment activities at campuses across the country. GPB is one of the 10 oldest women’s organizations in North America with more than 130 collegiate and 160 alumnae chapters, and more than 190,000 combined members worldwide.
Prior to joining GPB, Lockwood worked in a variety of business analyst, technical and administrative roles for Kronos, Inc. and The College of William and Mary. Lockwood earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Virginia Polytechnic University and a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration form the College of William and Mary.
