The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida (HPC) has appointed Deanna McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer. McDonald will report to Susan Ponder-Stansel, Board Chair for HPC and CEO of Community Hospice of NE Florida. As part of a state-wide structure, HPC is an organization whose mission for more than 40 years has been to champion healthy communities, lifestyles and accessible, quality health and wellness in the seven counties of Northeast Florida.
McDonald joins the Health Planning Council from Florida Blue, where she served most recently as the Group VP for Enterprise Competitive Transformation responsible for designing and overseeing the execution of a holistic system to improve the organization’s competitiveness in response to industry changes. Additionally, McDonald served on the inaugural Board of Directors for Florida Blue’s philanthropic Foundation and is a member of the Finance Committee for the United Way of Northeast Florida.
McDonald earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida, and is a CPA and member of Women Corporate Directors.
Sterling Search & Consulting , a retained executive search firm based in Jacksonville, FL, assisted the HPC Board Search Committee in the recruitment and selection of Deanna McDonald.
